Crypto recovery services in Norway

Norwegian has a saying for this situation: ikke kjøp katta i sekken, do not buy the cat in the sack. The fake platform sold you something you could not inspect; apply the same rule to the next offer and check what you get before you pay.

RVK Recovery is a legal practice focused on cryptocurrency recovery, serving clients across Norway remotely, in English or Norwegian. It reviews fraud, theft, exchange lockouts, and lost access. It does not promise outcomes; if your matter has no practical path, you are told so in writing.

Three points you can rely on:

  • The practice never asks for seed phrases, private keys, passwords, or

remote access to your devices.

  • The fee is 12.5%, due only after recovered funds reach your bank account.
  • You receive a confidential written assessment with no obligation to

proceed.

First steps after a loss in Norway

If you transferred money from a Norwegian account, contact your bank immediately; it can sometimes stop or recall the payment if you are fast.

Report the matter at politiet.no: choose "Anmeld bedrageri og datakriminalitet" and log in with BankID; without BankID, common for newer arrivals, attend a police station. Finanstilsynet, the Financial Supervisory Authority, publishes consumer warnings on crypto fraud. Forbrukerrådet, the Consumer Council, gives free guidance.

Keep everything: emails, chat logs, screenshots of the platform, wallet addresses, transaction IDs. Send no more money.

Expect a second approach. Many victims are contacted again within days by someone offering to trace or recover the funds for an advance payment, a "fee", or remote access. Norwegians call this gjenopprettingssvindel, recovery fraud, often run by the same network. A genuine firm never asks for upfront payment, a seed phrase, or remote access.

What the practice reviews

The work matches what is reported in Norway:

  • Fake investment platforms that start with a fabricated ad where

apparently well-known investors endorse the product; Finanstilsynet describes a typical first deposit around 300 euros.

  • Romance fraud and pig butchering through messaging apps.
  • Phishing, SIM swap, and BankID fraud.
  • Recovery fraud aimed at earlier victims.
  • Exchange lockouts and custodial disputes with genuine platforms.
  • Lost access: forgotten passwords, failed hardware wallets, incomplete

backups.

  • Estate matters where a deceased person's holdings are poorly documented.

The Norwegian picture

Økokrim, the national economic crime authority, recorded 251 million kroner lost to investment fraud in 2024, up 41 percent from the year before. Cases look the same in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, and Stavanger: an ad, a small first deposit, visible "gains", and a block when you try to withdraw.

Two facts are worth knowing. A loss from investment fraud can in some cases be deducted in the tax return once the loss is final, and the police report is central documentation for Skatteetaten. Some home contents policies (innboforsikring) cover investment fraud, and Jussformidlingen offers free legal help if you are uninsured.

The platforms are built by professionals. Being deceived by them is not a character flaw.

Fees, security, and jurisdiction

You pay 12.5% of recovered funds, only after the money reaches your bank account. No retainer, no hourly rate, no cryptocurrency payment to open a file. If the practice recovers nothing, you owe nothing.

Seed phrases, private keys, wallet passwords, two-factor codes, and remote desktop access (AnyDesk, TeamViewer, UltraViewer, Chrome Remote Desktop, or any screen sharing) are never requested. Neither is a transfer of your remaining coins as a verification step. Anyone who asks for these in the practice's name is an impersonator.

Recovery is not guaranteed, and the practice publishes no success rates. Some matters have no practical path; that conclusion is stated in writing.

The practice does not accept clients who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States, Germany, Italy, or France. Every other country can be considered. Each file is judged on the applicable law, where the counterparty is, the evidence, any existing court action, and whether enforcement is practical.

If a file proceeds, the practice must confirm you are the victim of that specific loss or hold lawful authority (an executor, or a company that is party to the contract). Proof is records, never a transfer of coins.

FAQ

Can stolen cryptocurrency be recovered?

Sometimes, where funds can be traced to an exchange or an identifiable entity, the evidence is usable, and a court can act. Mixers and privacy coins make tracing harder. An existing action against the same organisers can help. None of this is a promise.

What does it cost?

The review is free. The fee is 12.5% only if recovered funds reach your bank account. Nothing is paid upfront.

Will you ask for my seed phrase or remote access?

Never. Anyone who asks in the practice's name is not RVK Recovery.

Do I need to file a police report first?

No. A report helps and is useful documentation, but it is not required for a review.

Which countries are excluded?

Citizens and permanent residents of the United States, Germany, Italy, and France. Every other country can be considered.

Request a confidential review

The review starts with six answers: full name, email, country and telephone, amount lost in USD, type of case, and a short account of what happened (up to 5,000 characters). No identity documents are needed for this first check. A specialist replies in writing within business days. Everything material is handled in writing, so there is a record.
