Crypto recovery in Japan
Japanese has a saying for preparation: 転ばぬ先の杖, a cane readied before you fall. You have fallen once. The cane now is verification, checking who may be trusted before you lean on anyone again.
RVK Recovery is a legal practice for cryptocurrency recovery, serving clients in Japan and worldwide, remotely and in writing. It reviews fraud, theft, frozen exchange accounts, and lost wallet access. Recovery is never guaranteed, and the practice treats that honesty as an asset: a service that promises outcomes is telling you what you want to hear. Three commitments are exact:
- Never a request for seed phrases, private keys, or remote access.
- 12.5% due only after recovered funds reach your own bank account.
- A first review in writing, confidential, with no obligation.

First steps after a loss in Japan
Save the evidence first: LINE and email exchanges, transfer records, exchange statements, transaction IDs, screenshots. Send nothing more, whatever the reason given. A demand for a "tax" or "deposit" before a withdrawal is the fraud continuing.
The official channels are real. For non-emergency police consultation call #9110; in an emergency call 110. Every prefectural police headquarters runs a cybercrime consultation desk, listed on the National Police Agency's site. The Financial Services Agency has a consultation office for financial service users, and the consumer hotline 188 reaches your local consumer affairs center. One legal detail matters here: the Furikome Sagi Relief Act covers bank transfers, but crypto sent directly to a wallet falls outside it. These channels are named as information, not as partners of the practice.
Be careful of anyone who contacts you first offering to recover the loss: fake "refund agents" (返金代行) charging upfront fees are a documented second fraud in Japan. A firm that demands payment in advance, a seed phrase "for verification", a guaranteed result, or immediate remote access is running a second scam.
What the practice reviews
The schemes surging in Japan come first: SNS investment fraud that starts with Instagram or YouTube ads and moves to LINE, often impersonating celebrities or public institutions; romance fraud from matching apps that ends on an overseas "exchange" demanding a large tax at withdrawal; fake investment apps; phishing, SIM swap, and account takeover; and recovery fraud targeting people already victimized. Files that are not fraud follow the same method: a genuine exchange freeze is a documented dispute, an inaccessible wallet is a records problem, crypto found after a death is a succession file.
The Japanese picture
Police figures for 2025 put SNS investment and romance fraud at 15,168 cases and about 183.4 billion yen in losses, the worst on record, with direct crypto-sending schemes roughly two and a half times the prior year. The same shape repeats in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sapporo: a small successful withdrawal to build trust, pressure to add funds, then fees when you ask for your money back. International residents are approached in English as well as Japanese, and many hesitate to consult anyone because the consultation itself feels like a burden. It is not. The schemes are professional, the victims number in the tens of thousands, and a written review asks nothing you must say out loud.
Fees, security, jurisdiction
The fee is 12.5%, due only after recovered funds are deposited into your bank account. No retainer, no hourly rate, no cryptocurrency payment to open a file, no charge for the review. If there is no recovery through the practice's efforts, nothing is owed.
Security rules do not bend. No seed phrases, private keys, wallet passwords, or two-factor codes. No AnyDesk, TeamViewer, UltraViewer, Chrome Remote Desktop, or screen sharing. No request to move remaining coins as verification. Anyone who asks for these in the practice's name is an impersonator.
One limit is fixed: the practice does not accept citizens or permanent residents of the United States, Germany, Italy, or France, wherever they live. A French national with Tokyo residence cannot be a client; a Brazilian national in Osaka can. Every other country can be considered, judged on the applicable law, the counterparty's location, the evidence, any existing court action, and whether enforcement is practical.
FAQ
Can money sent in a crypto scam be recovered?
It depends. A path exists when funds can be traced to an exchange or an identifiable party, the evidence is usable, a court can act, and time has not closed the route. When no practical path exists, the practice says so in writing.
I am a foreign resident in Japan. Can I apply?
Yes, unless you are a citizen or permanent resident of the United States, Germany, Italy, or France. Residence in Japan does not override that exclusion.
When do I pay the fee?
Only after recovered funds reach your bank account. Nothing is charged before that, under any name.
Will you ask for my seed phrase or remote access?
Never. If someone asks, stop the conversation and open the official site independently. That person is not RVK Recovery.
