Crypto recovery in Greece and Cyprus

Greece has a saying for anyone who has been burned once: whoever gets scalded by hot porridge blows even on the yogurt. If someone has contacted you offering to get your money back, that caution is exactly right.

RVK Recovery is a legal practice for cryptocurrency recovery: fraud and theft, lost wallet access, exchange lockouts, estates, and commercial disputes. It serves Greece and Cyprus remotely and in writing, with no office in Athens or Limassol and no telephone line.

Three facts to check:

  • The practice never asks for seed phrases, private keys, wallet passwords, two-factor codes, or remote desktop access.
  • The fee is 12.5%, paid only after recovered funds are deposited into your bank account.
  • The first review is confidential, in writing, and without obligation.

First steps after a scam in Greece or Cyprus

Stop all payments to the platform and to anyone who contacted you through it. Do not send a "tax", a "withdrawal fee", or a "verification deposit". Those requests are part of the same fraud.

Keep everything: emails, chats, platform names, wallet addresses, transaction identifiers, bank receipts, screenshots. Delete nothing.

In Greece, report to the Cybercrime Directorate of the Hellenic Police (Διεύθυνση Δίωξης Κυβερνοεγκλήματος): free line 11188, or online through gov.gr. In Cyprus, report to the Cybercrime Subdivision of the Cyprus Police (cyberalert.cy) or the local CID. For investment fraud, the Hellenic Capital Market Commission and CySEC publish warnings and license registers. These bodies are named as information, not as partners.

One warning matters most: people who have already lost money are contacted again within days by fake recovery agents. An upfront fee, a seed phrase "for verification", a guaranteed result, or immediate remote access means a second scam.

What the practice reviews

Files from Greece and Cyprus follow patterns the two police forces describe:

  • Fake investment platforms and telephone "brokers" posing as investment houses or banks.
  • Messaging-app and romance investment fraud, including pig butchering.
  • Phishing, account takeover, SIM swap, and extortion.
  • Lost access: forgotten passwords, lost two-factor devices, incomplete seed records, mis-sent transfers.
  • Disputes with genuine exchanges: frozen accounts, lockouts, unexplained restrictions.
  • Estates with incomplete records, commercial disputes, crypto loans, and stablecoin questions.

Several fake platforms can belong to one organiser already before a court. Checking whether an open case exists is free and needs no wallet credentials.

The local picture

In Athens, Thessaloniki, and Patras, police announcements through 2025 and 2026 describe telephone rings selling fake investments and deepfake videos of public figures advertising platforms that never existed. In Limassol and Nicosia, Cyprus Police has published cases where victims handed wallet access to strangers or were told to pay more to "release" imaginary profits; one reported Limassol case reached 430,000 euro. Europol has linked part of this activity to call centres that approach the same victims again with recovery offers. A second call is method, not coincidence.

Fees, security, jurisdiction

No win, no fee. The client pays 12.5% only after recovered funds are deposited into the client's own bank account. No retainer. No hourly rate. No cryptocurrency payment to open a file. No charge for the first review. If there is no recovery through the practice's efforts, nothing is owed.

The practice never asks for seed phrases, private keys, wallet passwords, two-factor codes, or remote access of any kind (AnyDesk, TeamViewer, UltraViewer, Chrome Remote Desktop, screen sharing). It never asks you to move remaining coins anywhere as proof. Anyone who asks for these things in the practice's name is an impersonator. Verify by opening https://rvkrecovery.com yourself.

Recovery is not guaranteed. Some matters have no practical path, and the practice says so in writing. It does not publish success rates.

The practice does not accept clients who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States, Germany, Italy, or France. Every other country can be considered. Each file is judged on the applicable law, where the counterparty is, the evidence, any existing court action, and whether enforcement is practical.

If a file proceeds, anti-money laundering rules require proof that you are the victim of that specific loss, or that you hold lawful authority (an executor, or a company that is party to the contract). Proof means records, never a transfer of coins.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get back money lost to a crypto scam in Greece?

It depends on whether funds can be traced to an exchange or an identifiable entity, on evidence, jurisdiction, and timing. The written review answers exactly that, without promises.

What does crypto recovery cost?

Nothing in advance. 12.5% of what is recovered, payable only after the funds reach your bank account.

Will you ask for my seed phrase or remote access?

Never. Anyone who asks for these while claiming to represent RVK Recovery is an impersonator.

Where do I report a crypto scam in Greece or Cyprus?

In Greece: the Cybercrime Directorate of the Hellenic Police, line 11188 or gov.gr. In Cyprus: the Cybercrime Subdivision of the Cyprus Police (cyberalert.cy) or the local CID. A police report helps a file but is not required for a review.

Someone called me again offering recovery. What do I do?

Hang up. An upfront fee, a seed phrase, a guaranteed outcome, or remote access means a second scam. Note the number and include it in your account.

Do you accept clients from Cyprus?

Yes. Greece and Cyprus are both served, as is every other country except citizens and permanent residents of the United States, Germany, Italy, and France. The review can be conducted in English or Greek.

Confidential review

The review starts with six answers: full name, email, country and telephone, amount lost in USD, type of case, and a short account of what happened, up to 5,000 characters. No identity documents are needed at this step. A specialist replies in writing, within business days. The reply obliges you to nothing.
