Crypto scam recovery in Denmark

Danes have an old saying: do not sell the bear's skin before the bear is shot. After a crypto loss, that is the right standard for every offer that reaches you now: believe results, not promises, and pay for nothing before the result exists.

RVK Recovery is a legal practice that reviews lost and stolen cryptocurrency matters for clients in Denmark. The practice is remote: no office, no phone line, no staff on the ground. Three points hold from the first contact:

  • The practice never asks for a seed phrase, a private key, passwords, or remote access to your computer.
  • The fee is 12.5%, paid only after recovered funds reach your own bank account.
  • The first review is written, confidential, and without obligation.

First steps after a loss in Denmark

Contact your bank at once so transfers can still be stopped. Report the crime at politi.dk under "Anmeld økonomisk svindel på nettet og digital kriminalitet" with your MitID, and attach transfer receipts, screenshots, and correspondence. If your MitID is blocked, call 114.

Keep all evidence: platform screenshots, wallet addresses, transaction IDs, emails, and chat logs. Send no more money, whatever is promised. And distrust anyone who contacts you first offering recovery. Danish victim counselors have a name for that approach: tilbagebetalingssvindel, recovery fraud, and it often strikes within days of the original loss.

Finanstilsynet, the Danish financial supervisory authority, publishes warning lists of unauthorised companies, and the consumer council Forbrugerrådet Tænk publishes guidance on investment fraud. These bodies are named here as information for you, not as partners of the practice.

What the practice reviews

  • Fake investment platforms, often advertised on Facebook or Instagram with the misused names and faces of well-known Danes.
  • Romance fraud and pig butchering, where a long relationship on WhatsApp or Telegram ends on a fake trading platform.
  • Phishing and impersonation: fake calls from "the bank", "Skattestyrelsen", or "the police".
  • SIM swap and unauthorised account takeover.
  • Fake recovery services.
  • Lost access: forgotten exchange passwords, lost 2FA devices, damaged hardware wallets without backups.
  • Disputes with genuine exchanges over frozen accounts.
  • Estates that include cryptocurrency with incomplete records.

Several fake platforms can belong to one organiser already before a court in another country. Checking whether an open case already exists is free and needs no wallet credentials. Some matters have no practical path, and the practice says so in writing.

The Danish picture

Denmark runs on digital trust: MitID, MobilePay, Digital Post. The scammers exploit exactly that. Cases in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense, and Aalborg look nearly identical: an ad with a familiar face, a friendly "broker" on the phone, a platform showing rising profits, and a withdrawal that never arrives. Internationals are targeted in English too.

Fees, security, jurisdiction

The fee is 12.5% of recovered funds, due only after the money reaches your bank account. No retainer, no hourly rate, no cryptocurrency payment to open a file. If there is no recovery through the practice's efforts, nothing is owed.

RVK Recovery never asks for seed phrases, private keys, wallet passwords, two-factor codes, or remote access (AnyDesk, TeamViewer, or similar), and it never asks you to transfer remaining coins as a verification step. Anyone who asks for these things in the practice's name is an impersonator. Recovery is not guaranteed, and the practice does not publish success rates.

The practice does not accept clients who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States, Germany, Italy, or France. Every other country can be considered. Each file is judged on the applicable law, the counterparty's location, the evidence, any existing court action, and whether enforcement is practical.

FAQ

Can I get my money back after a crypto scam in Denmark?

It depends on whether the funds can be traced to an exchange or an identifiable party, on the evidence, the jurisdiction, and the timing. Some cases cannot be recovered, and you will be told in writing if yours is one of them.

Will you ask for my seed phrase or remote access to my computer?

Never. The practice works from documents and chain records, not from access to your wallet or your devices.

How do I report crypto fraud to the Danish police?

Online at politi.dk with your MitID, or by calling 114. Attach receipts, screenshots, and correspondence.

A company contacted me promising to recover my money. Is it legitimate?

Be extremely sceptical. A firm that demands an upfront fee, a seed phrase "for verification", a guaranteed result, or immediate remote access is running a second scam.

I am not a Danish citizen. Can you still take my case?

Yes. Residence in Denmark is enough. The only excluded clients are citizens and permanent residents of the United States, Germany, Italy, and France.

Request a confidential review

The review starts with six answers: full name, email, country and telephone, amount lost in USD, type of case, and a short account of what happened (up to 5,000 characters). No identity documents are needed for this first check. A specialist replies in writing within business days. Everything material is in writing, so there is a record.
