Crypto recovery in Belgium
A French saying heard across Belgium holds that un homme averti en vaut deux: a warned person is worth two. This page is such a warning: knowing how the follow-up scam works gives you the advantage.
RVK Recovery is a legal practice for cryptocurrency recovery, serving victims in Belgium. A fake trading platform, romance fraud, phishing, a locked exchange account: a specialist reviews your account and replies in writing, within business days. English is fine throughout; much of our Belgian correspondence is with the international community.
Three points, plainly:
- We never ask for a seed phrase, a private key, a password, or remote access to your computer.
- The fee is 12.5%, due only after recovered funds reach your own bank account. No retainer, no hourly rate, no cryptocurrency payment to open a file.
- The first review is confidential and carries no obligation.
The geographic limits, equally plainly: Belgium is served. France is not. We do not accept clients who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States, Germany, Italy, or France. Recovery is never guaranteed. Some matters have no practical path, and we say so in writing.

First steps after discovering the loss
Stop all payments and break off contact. Keep everything: emails, screenshots, transaction IDs, bank statements, the platform's web address. Delete nothing.
File a complaint with the police, at your local police zone station or through police.be. The online desk Police-on-web (Belgian eID or itsme) covers certain non-urgent matters; without an eID, use the station. Report the fraud to the FSMA, Belgium's financial markets authority, via fsma.be: it publishes warnings, but does not recover lost funds. The federal fraud contact point at pointdecontact.belgique.be routes your report. These bodies are named as information; they do not work with RVK Recovery.
Expect a second attempt: fraud victims are often contacted again within days by supposed recovery services, usually the same scammers. Trust no one who contacts you first.
What the practice reviews
The FSMA warns repeatedly about fraudulent trading platforms active on the Belgian market, often promoted in WhatsApp or Telegram groups, sometimes as cloned firms. We review:
- fraudulent trading platforms and boiler rooms
- romance fraud and pig butchering, where a long relationship ends on a fake platform
- phishing, SIM swap, and account takeover
- recovery rooms, fake recovery services that approach earlier victims
- lost access: a forgotten password, a lost 2FA device, a hardware wallet without a backup
- disputes with genuine platforms over frozen accounts
- estates with cryptocurrency, and commercial crypto-loan disputes
Several fake platforms can belong to one organiser who is already before a court. Whether such an open case exists is something we check for free; no wallet credentials are needed.
The Belgian picture
Brussels, with its European institutions and international workforce, produces files in English, French, and Dutch. Antwerp and Ghent bring investment fraud and romance fraud. Liège, Charleroi, and Bruges see the same fraudulent platforms, often recognised after an FSMA warning. The scenario barely varies: trust first, deposits next, a block the moment you try to withdraw.
Fees, security, and jurisdiction
The fee is 12.5% of the recovered amount, owed only after those funds are credited to your bank account. The remaining 87.5% goes directly to you. If there is no recovery through our efforts, nothing is owed.
We never ask for seed phrases, private keys, wallet passwords, or two-factor codes, and never for remote access through AnyDesk, TeamViewer, UltraViewer, Chrome Remote Desktop, or screen sharing. We never ask you to transfer remaining coins as verification. Anyone who asks for these things in our name is an impersonator. A firm that demands an upfront payment, a seed phrase "for verification", a guaranteed result, or immediate remote access is running a second scam.
The practice is fully remote and has no office, phone line, or live chat in Belgium. Everything material is in writing, so there is a record. We do not accept clients who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States, Germany, Italy, or France; Belgium and every other country can be considered. Each file is judged on the applicable law, the counterparty, the evidence, any existing court action, and whether enforcement is practical.
FAQ
How do I know a recovery service is legitimate?
Look at what it asks for. An upfront payment, a seed phrase, a guaranteed result, or remote access points to a second scam. Genuine legal help works with documents, not with your wallet.
Can stolen crypto be recovered?
Sometimes. It depends on the trail to a platform or identifiable party, the evidence, the jurisdiction, and the time passed. We publish no success rates and guarantee no outcome.
Can the FSMA get my money back?
No. It publishes warnings and can pass a file to the judicial authorities, but recovering lost funds is not within its mandate.
I live in Belgium but I am not Belgian. Can I apply?
Yes, unless you are a citizen or permanent resident of the United States, Germany, Italy, or France. Those four exclusions apply regardless of where you live.
Request a confidential review
Six answers start the review: your name, email, country and telephone number, the amount lost in US dollars, the type of case, and a short account of what happened, up to 5,000 characters. No identity documents are needed for this first check. A specialist replies in writing within business days: confidential, free, and without obligation.
